type this wmic command:
WMIC DesktopMonitor Get ScreenWdith, ScreenHeight
Output would be something like this: (output may varies
depends on your screen settings)
ScreenHeight
ScreenWidth
900 1600
To get screen resolution via graphical interface is to right
click on an empty space on the desktop.
For Windows 7, click on "Screen Resolution".
And the Screen Resolution window will open.
